An established Professional Quantity Surveying (PQS) firm is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Administrator to support project pre-contract delivery, cost control, and internal operations.
This role focuses on documentation, cost management, and coordination rather than site-based construction work.
The ideal candidate is highly organised, experienced in PQS, and enjoys a structured, hybrid working environment.
Requirements
• 10+ years in a PQS / consulting environment, strong exposure to cost planning, BOQs, and tendering
• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying; SACQSP registration advantageous
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong administrative and organisational skills, advanced MS Excel/Word, QS software familiarity (WinQS, DimX, or similar)
• Reliable, structured, process-driven, takes ownership, strong team player
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies
• Compile and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Oversee tender documentation and adjudication processes
• Prepare and review payment certificates and cost reports
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, and variations
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and professional teams
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date project financial records
• Oversee document control and project filing systems
• Compile and format professional reports and submissions
• Manage project correspondence and communication
• Coordinate meetings, timelines, and deliverables
• Support directors on project management and principal agent duties
• Maintain structured and efficient office processes
