Hire Resolve is currently working with a reputable consulting firm based in Cape Town who is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer in the consulting field, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and solutions to clients in various industries.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting site visits and inspections to gather necessary data.
• Analyzing client requirements and developing innovative mechanical designs and systems.
• Preparing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integrity and functionality.
• Performing calculations, simulations, and tests to validate design feasibility and performance.
• Providing technical advice and guidance to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and codes.
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Preparing and presenting project proposals and reports to clients.
• Staying up-to-date with advancements in mechanical engineering technology and practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering consulting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and standards.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ANSYS.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexibility to travel to client sites as required.
