A well-established civil and structural consulting engineering firm with a strong footprint in municipal and large-scale infrastructure projects, is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist / Engineer to join their growing team based in Durbanville, Cape Town.

This permanent role is ideal for a skilled professional who enjoys working on complex, multi-disciplinary projects and contributing to high-quality engineering solutions within a collaborative design office environment.

Responsibilities

• Design civil services for municipal, commercial, and industrial developments

• Produce technical deliverables for roads, stormwater, sewer, water, ducting services, and bulk earthworks

• Prepare Bills of Quantities and technical specifications in accordance with relevant SANS codes

• Perform contract administration and construction monitoring

• Conduct site inspections and lead site meetings

• Prepare as-built drawings and close-out reports

• Develop innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions

• Engage and interact professionally with clients and project stakeholders

Requirements

• BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering (non-negotiable)

• Registered as a Professional Engineer or Engineering Technologist, or eligible to register within 12 months

• 5–10 years’ experience in Municipal Infrastructure Design and the Building Environment

• Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects

• Proficient in Civil Designer and AutoCAD

• Valid driver’s licence with access to own vehicle for site visits and meetings
