A well-established civil and structural consulting engineering firm with a strong footprint in municipal and large-scale infrastructure projects, is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist / Engineer to join their growing team based in Durbanville, Cape Town.
This permanent role is ideal for a skilled professional who enjoys working on complex, multi-disciplinary projects and contributing to high-quality engineering solutions within a collaborative design office environment.
Responsibilities
Design civil services for municipal, commercial, and industrial developments
Produce technical deliverables for roads, stormwater, sewer, water, ducting services, and bulk earthworks
Prepare Bills of Quantities and technical specifications in accordance with relevant SANS codes
Perform contract administration and construction monitoring
Conduct site inspections and lead site meetings
Prepare as-built drawings and close-out reports
Develop innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions
Engage and interact professionally with clients and project stakeholders
Requirements
BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering (non-negotiable)
Registered as a Professional Engineer or Engineering Technologist, or eligible to register within 12 months
5–10 years’ experience in Municipal Infrastructure Design and the Building Environment
Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects
Proficient in Civil Designer and AutoCAD
Valid driver’s licence with access to own vehicle for site visits and meetings
