Hire Resolve's client, a well-established engineering consultancy specializing in electrical and mechanical systems design across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Draughtsman to join their dynamic team based in Cape Town.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and Revit (or similar CAD software).

• Interpret electrical engineering designs and translate them into accurate technical drawings.

• Assist engineers in updating and modifying design layouts during project development.

• Coordinate with the project team to ensure design accuracy and adherence to client specifications.

• Maintain and organize drawing databases and ensure version control compliance.

• Perform site visits when necessary to verify design requirements and collect field data.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related technical drawing qualification.

• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as an Electrical Draughtsman in the consulting or construction environment.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; Revit MEP experience will be advantageous.

• Solid understanding of SANS and other applicable electrical standards.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Good communication and team collaboration skills.
